Join us in Sunday School!

You're always welcome here!

We delight in His Word because our sins are forgiven through Jesus Christ, our Savior!  We are so loved!  And He has given us His Word as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path!  Psalm 119:10

Mission: Pointing to Jesus!

Good Shepherd Sunday School's mission is to share with children the love of Christ, the Good News of the forgiveness of our sin and life everlasting in Heaven!

Sunday School reinforces the teaching of God's Word at home, applying it in daily situations to discern what is true and what is right. Encouraging an all-in relationship with the God who loves us first as evidenced through His atonement for our sin by the death and Resurrection of Jesus, our Lord & Savior.

Colossians  1: 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Upcoming News & Events:

Christ, in all things!

Home activity:  How does this “Christ-centeredness” play itself out in the practical details of everyday life?  This month look for moments of grace in your home.   Times or visual reminders, when grace, unmerited favor, was applied to a hurting heart, when home was a safe place to mess us, where there was comfort and healing, a time when love was the goal,  not perfection.

September 19, 2021  Sunday school begins with the boy, the real boy, Jesus in the temple!  He called it “His Father’s house”... Jesus is God’s Son!!  He learned from, took direction from and obeyed His Father. He relied on the Father and the Spirit to give Him what He needs.  Check out Luke 2:41-52.  Isaiah 50:4-10 gives us a glimpse of what it was like for Jesus to live among us.

Memory verse: Luke 2:49  And He answered, “Why did you have to look for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?”

September 26,2021 John, points us to Jesus. He baptizes Jesus to fulfill all righteousness.  Jesus is “the lamb of God”!  Check out Matthew 3 and John 1: 29-34

Memory verse: John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
