Serve to meet the needs of others

Good Shepherd strives to facilitate ways to serve by creating opportunities for people to roll up their sleeves and do something for someone else in the name of Christ. Good Shepherd also strives to inspire compassion through our work and through the work of others.

Good Shepherd plans to serve by:
  • Supporting the Frankfort food pantry
  • Good Samaritan fund
  • Lutheran Emergency Response Team (LERT)
  • Community Pancake Breakfast
  • Community Church Picnic
  • Altar Guild
  • Music
  • Preparing service bulletins and support material
  • Facilitating Alcoholics  Anonymous, Narcotics  Anonymous, Tops meetings, and Spotlight Art Collection
  • Hosting site to Feed my Starving Children, Kidinary Academy,  Montessori Preschool of Frankfort, Roots and Wings Home Schooling Co-op
  • Support to Northern IL district LCMS, PASS, Federwitz Bible translators, Journey (Mokena), Voice of Care, Voice of Hope, Lutheran Church Charities
